You are going to want to study the competition to determine the size of the market for this content, where the quality bar is set at and what videos have performed well. Start a spreadsheet and identify the top five channels and top ten videos in this niche.

Often times, we are tempted to carve our own path. In some cases, that is a great idea. When it comes to YouTube, however, it is not. Survey the competition and see what is working for them. If they made a video that got a lot of views, you should too!

One of the best ways to make passive income with a YouTube channel is to recommend products in your videos and link them up in the description. Every time someone makes a purchase through one of your links, you make a commission!
